Sesamstrasse stickers with Spencer and Poldi
Hallo Spencer was a German puppet series created by Winfried Debertin (who designed Leonie Löwenzahn for Sesamstrasse). The series proved popular, running from 1979 to 2001, and spawned numerous spinoffs and a feature film. For US airing, the series was dubbed into English for syndication by Saban (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) as The Hallo Spencer Show.
In 1983, the title character Spencer hosted an installment of the ARD news magazine series Wir über uns celebrating the 10th anniversary of Sesamstrasse.
Spencer and other characters from the series also occasionally appeared on official NDR Sesamstrasse merchandise, such as a sticker set.
