Hannes Gromball in Fassbinder's Angst essen Seele auf
Hannes Gromball (1932-2015) was a German actor and voice actor who dubbed guest stars Roger Miller and John Denver on Die Muppet Show, the German dub of The Muppet Show. He also dubbed The Terrace Restaurant waiter in Muppet Movie (The Muppet Movie).
Gromball was active in dubbing from 1960 until the late 1980s, dubbing Derek Jacobi in The Man Who Went Up in Smoke, Cesar Romero in The Thin Man, and various actors in kung-fu movies. For TV, he dubbed Ralph Bates as the villain on Poldark and guest actors on Star Trek and The Saint. Cartoon credits include Vicky the Viking (as Pokka and others) and Trickfilmzeit mit Adelheid (dubbing Jay Ward cartoons and others). On-camera, Gromball appeared frequently in the films of German director Rainer Werner Fassbinder, usually in small roles (and sometimes dubbing other actors). He made guest appearances on Derrick and Der Alte and was a regular on the seventies children's series Krempoli - Ein Platz für wilde Kinder (as a junkyard worker nicknamed "Opa Krempel").
