The poster that came with the album in order to play the "Put a Cookie in My Mouth" game. Instructions on the back of the album cover informed parents that they needed to supply the blindfold, paper cookies, and pins for the game.

Originally released in 1977, Happy Birthday from Sesame Street featured the Sesame Street cast getting together to sing birthday songs to the listener. The LP packaging originally included a game to accompany the song "Put a Cookie in My Mouth." The album was written and produced entirely by Jeff Moss.

Other releases[]

The album was reissued on cassette by Golden Music in 1992, and on CD and cassette by Sony Wonder in 2004. However, the Sony Wonder edition dropped the song, "A Little Bit Bigger" and the second version of "Happy Birthday To You" which was played just before "Blow Out the Candles", though the latter is still included within the liner notes.
