Harald Mæle (b. 1944) is a Norwegian voice actor who voiced Junior Gorg, Philo and Large Marvin on Fragglene (the Norwegian dub of Fraggle Rock), for which he also served as translator. For the Norwegian Sesame Street co-production Sesam Stasjon, he dubbed Kermit the Frog, Bert, Cookie Monster and Grover. In En Muppet Julefortelling (The Muppet Christmas Carol), he voiced Robin the Frog, Sam the Eagle, Animal, Bean Bunny, The Ghost of Christmas Present and a large number of background characters. He was also dubbing translator and director.
Mæle became famous as a TV presenter in the 1970s on NRK. He went on to work as a voice actor, translating and directing various dubbing projects. His animated voice credits include Mr. Soil in A Bug's Life, Bagheera in The Jungle Book, Merlin in The Sword in the Stone, Uncle Scrooge on DuckTales, Splinter in the 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, and Bugs Bunny in various Looney Tunes dubs. He dubbed Obelix in both live-action and animated Asterix movies, Robbie Coltrane in the Harry Potter movies, and Ben Stein in Son of the Mask. His credits as a dubbing director include 102 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast and Monsters, Inc.
