"Hawaiian War Chant" is a popular and iconic song evoking the sounds and language of Hawaii. The song was a staple of the big band era in the 1930s and 1940s, and Spike Jones and his orchestra later recorded a more uptempo version, with a comic prologue. The song is also featured at Disneyland's "Enchanted Tiki Room" attraction and in the Disney animated feature The Lion King.
The pigs and the penguins performed the song as the opening number in episode 320 of The Muppet Show.
In 2002 and 2005, Louise Gold included the song in her cabaret act, as part of an "Around the World with the Muppets" medley.
