Hee Haw was an American television variety show featuring country music which aired on CBS from 1969 to 1971, and then another twenty years in first run syndication. Inspired by Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, the show was hosted by Buck Owens and Roy Clark.
Bernie Brillstein's first big "package deal" from the Brillstein Company was Hee-Haw, which he recalled in his memoir Where Did I Go Right? followed his failed sale of The Muppet Show to CBS.

- Big Bird appeared in the October 24, 1981 broadcast[1], interacting with Slim Pickens at "Slim's Bar-B-Que."

- The show was parodied in the Dinosaurs episode "Network Genius" as Economics Hoe-Down.
- The series was spoofed as "Muppet Hoo-Haw" in Muppets Tonight episode 201, with guest star The Artist Formerly Known As Prince under the name "Jed". "Muppet Hoo-Haw" also featured a performance by the Hoo-Haw Ha Ha Ha Hayseed Band.
- The Sesame Street video Kids' Favorite Country Songs parodies the opening of Hee-Haw.
- In the Muppet Babies episode "Remote Control Cornballs, the show is spoofed as "Hoo Haw."
