Helene Fischer (b. Jelena Petrowna Fischer in 1984) is a Russian-German singer and entertainer, successfully combining "Schlager" and pop.

When she appeared on the live show Das Herbstfest der Träume on October 12, 2013, show host and boyfriend Florian Silbereisen ambushed Fischer with surprise guests from Sesamstrasse (Ernie, Bert, Wolf, Elmo and Preston Rabbit), who bribed and convinced her to pay a visit to "the street" for a special holiday installment of their Ernie & Bert Songs, which was filmed the following year, and premiered on December 1, 2014 on Sesamstrasse (airing on KIKA) as well as on the show's online advent calendar on Sesamstrasse.de.

The behind-the-scenes goings-on of the characters' surprise appearance for Fischer on Das Herbstfest der Träume were documented in the show Das Magazin zum Herbstfest.

Fischer also stars in an annual music show, which featured Ernie and Bert in 2011.
