Henrik Koefoed (b. 1955) is a Danish actor and comedian who dubbed Wembley on Fragglerne (Fraggle Rock). He voiced Sir Didymus in Labyrinten til troldkongens slot (Labyrinth), parts on the Danish dub of Muppet Babies, the Skeksis Scientist in Den Sorte Krystal (The Dark Crystal), and the Historian on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
Koefoed graduated from the Danish National School of Theatre in 1980, and has appeared in a variety of movie, TV and theater roles over the years. Steen Springborg called Kofoed in the early 1980s and asked him if he wanted to dub a Popeye cartoon (where he voiced Swea'pea). After that, Henrik Koefoed became part of Sun Studios' first team of regular dubbers, that also included Nis Bank-Mikkelsen and Sonja Oppenhagen.[1]
He became the standard Danish voice of Daffy Duck (including Looney Tunes: Back in Action) and Ludwig Von Drake (including both versions of DuckTales) and dubbed Mickey Mouse in Mickey's Christmas Carol and A Goofy Movie. Other cartoon roles include Timon in The Lion King, Roquefort in The Aristocats, the seahorse in The Little Mermaid, Majestix and others in the Asterix movies, Yakko on Animaniacs, Dennis the Menace, and the three blind mice in the Shrek franchise. In live-action, he dubbed Ben Kingsley in Oliver Twist and Hugo, Michael Madsen in Free Willy and its sequel, Alain Chabat as Julius Caesar in Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, David Thewlis and Dobby the elf in the Harry Potter movies, and Seth Green in Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.
Some of his on-camera credits include Rend mig i traditionerne, the Lars Von Trier series Riget (The Kingdom), Brøderne, Rejseholdet, Krøniken, and more. In 1991, Kofoed founded the comedy group Ørkenens Sønner (Sons of the Desert) along with Flemming Enevold (the voice of Philo in Fragglerne), Søren Pilmark, and Asger Reher.
