High Commander Hextar Vigar is the primary adversary of the Brats on the Henson series Brats of the Lost Nebula.

“The Shock Commander, the epitome of depravity, serves shadowy masters known as The Hosts. Diabolical and aristocratic, Vigar is a creature with no past. While he considers himself a dedicated and cheerful destroyer of worlds, he hungers for a personal history. Part of his animosity toward the Brats is his jealousy at their having a childhood while he has none. But he is no mindless lackey. Commanded by the Hosts to focus on the destruction of the Brats and their Planetoid base, Vigar will follow orders only as much as it serves his own purposes to discover the secrets of his own past.”

In a 2020 interview series creator Dan Clark shared his ideas for Vigar in the second season stating: "I was really big on the idea from the very beginning that Hextar Vigar is a Brat. Hextar Vigar is an orphan, and Hextar Vigar has been violated by the Hosts, and Hextar Vigar is just as lost as the kids. The reason we track his character, and the reason we give his character a little arc, is because he's one of the team - he just doesn't know it. So I always thought of Hextar Vigar as a Brat of the Lost Nebula." Clark stressed however that "we were never going to rehabilitate Vigar. Vigar was always going to be bad, but Vigar was going to be a mixed bag. He was going to do good over the course of the show's second season but he was always going to choose darkness."
