Hey Disney! is a voice assistant launched in 2023 at select hotels in Disneyland and Walt Disney World, through a partnership between Disney parks and Amazon's Alexa AI. The default voice, called the "Disney Magical Companion", is activated when a guest says, "Hey Disney!"
The assistant can set an alarm, answer questions about the theme parks, and provide access to hotel services like fresh pillows or towels. It can also tell stories or jokes, or pose Disney trivia questions. The companion can also reply with specially recorded character voices, including characters from Disney and Pixar animated films, as well as Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Muppets. Hey Disney! also became available for purchase on Amazon Echo devices later in 2023.
The launch page in the Disney World Guest Services site pictures Fozzie Bear as one of the nine example characters, and says that Hey Disney! will "take you into the worlds of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and the Muppets for interactive character experiences." It also says guests can "relax with a Star Wars soundscape or take off on a Muppets adventure."[1]
An early report on the website The Verge mentioned "Animal from The Muppets".[2]
The featured Muppets characters included in Hey Disney! are Fozzie, Miss Piggy, Animal, and Sam the Eagle (all voiced by Eric Jacobson).
