"I'm Sad Because I'm Happy" is a Sesame Street song sung by Oscar the Grouch.
The song was originally recorded in 1982, but was not used on the show until Season 26, where it was made into an insert piece. In the segment, Oscar sings the song (with slightly modified lyrics) on a stormy day in the park, eventually backed by a Grouch choir (including Grundgetta). Various characters (including Elmo, Telly, Rosita, a Honker, Benny Rabbit, Grover, Cookie Monster, and Zoe) make cameos, being blown away in the storm.
