First Episode 3228

"I Could Have Counted All Night" is a Sesame Street song performed by the Count, the Countess, and her mother, extolling the euphoric joys of enumeration.

The song is a parody of "I Could Have Danced All Night," from Lerner and Loewe's Broadway musical My Fair Lady.

Notes[]

  • In an 2018 interview with RealClearLife promoting Muppet Guys Talking, Fran Brill (performing the Countess in the song) recalled that the puppet's extra costuming and wig made the puppet much heavier than normal. The weight prevented Fran from lip-syncing properly, forcing Kevin Clash to finish the segment in her place.[1][2] During the interview, she erroneously refers to a musical number from Episode 3012.
