Elmo and the kids celebrate Opera Day, as proposed by Big Bird, by singing instead of talking. This annoys Oscar the Grouch, who tells them to vacate the area by his trash can. Elmo decides to turn his negative attitude into a song, where he and the kids sing back all the things Oscar yells at them. To his dismay, the song leaves Oscar struggling to stop singing everything he says.
