Kermit spells out "VH1" in a familiar, retro fashion.
I Love the '70s is an installment of VH1's I Love the... series (based on a BBC series), focusing on comedic nostalgia commentary on a given decade. This series first aired in August 2003 and consists of ten hour-long episodes, one dedicated to each year of the 1970s. A sequel, I Love the '70s: Volume 2, aired in 2006.
Kermit the Frog appeared as one of many celebrity commentators throughout the ten episodes, and Sesame Street (1970), The Muppet Show (1976) and The Muppet Movie (1979) were featured topics.
A recurring interstitial features Kermit doing a parody of the "brought to you by" announcements from Sesame Street by saying "I Love the '70s is brought to you by the letter V, the letter H, and the number 1."
