"In My Coloring Book" is a Sesame Street song performed by Big Bird as he colors in Episode 1397.
While coloring in the yard, a slightly confused Susan points out how Big Bird has colored a landscape in an unorthodox way: a yellow sky, a purple sun, a green cow, blue apples, etc. Big Bird explains to the viewer in song that it's easy to match the colors to real life things, but it's more fun "playing Mother Nature" and picking out unusual colors.
The lyrics were included in the 1983 book The Songs of Sesame Street in Poems and Pictures, where the illustration has it sung (or recited) by Bert.
