Inge Schulz on Polizeiinspektion 1

Inge Schulz on Polizeiinspektion 1

Inge Schulz (1927-2014) was a German voice actress who was occasionally heard in Muppet dubs. She dubbed Mildred Huxtetter on Die Muppet Show (The Muppet Show), Camilla in Muppet Movie, and Hilda in Die Muppets feiern Jim Henson (The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson). She dubbed Big Bird in Die große Muppet-Party (The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years) and Die Muppets feiern Weihnacht (A Muppet Family Christmas).

Schulz was busiest in dubbing from the 1970s onward, dubbing Joyce Van Patten in St. Elmo's Fire but most often heard as elderly actresses, such as Pat Crawford Brown on Knots Landing and elsewhere, Carol Channing on The Nanny, the voice of Peg's mother on Married... with Children, Frances Foster on Law & Order, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer on Quantum Leap. She was heard in various anime dubs (usually directed by Eberhard Storeck), including Ilva on Vicky the Viking and smaller one-time roles on Maya the Bee, Heidi, and Pinocchio.

Schulz was active in German radio drama from 1954 until 1996, including the 1959 version of the Paul Temple serial "The Conrad Case" (as a stewardess) and episodes of Inspektor Hornleigh, Dickie Dick Dickens, and Gestatten, mein Name ist Cox. She made frequent TV appearances on the crime dramas Der Alte, Derrick, and Polizeiinspektion 1 (most often as secretaries, nurses, or housekeepers) and acted in the 1976 TV movie Ich will doch nur, daß ihr mich liebt (with Alexander Allerson).
