An employment interviewer appeared in a Sesame Street sketch where he tries to help Grover get a job as a lifeguard for a local swimming pool. (First: Episode 1951) Grover seems to meet all of the qualifications, but when the interviewer informs him that he'll have to dive in and help swimmers when necessary, Grover adds that he'll need one more thing: swimming lessons.
At one point, the interviewer recognizes Grover from his waiter job at Charlie's Restaurant. The script for the sketch designates the character in parentheses as "Fat Blue,"[1] which suggests that Grover's regular customer Mr. Johnson was intended to be in the interviewer role.
