Ernie finds a blue circle and asks Bert (Frank Oz) what it is. Bert enthusiastically sings that "It's a Circle", a perfect circle just as it is. A frustrated Ernie then sings that it's not just a circleβit's the shape of the sun, or a pie, or a bowl of ice cream. Bert feels that the circle is fine just as it is, and begins to sing again; Ernie joins in with his part of the song. After they finish the duet Ernie admits that Bert may be right after all, but Bert thinks Ernie is right too.
Ernie and Bert performed the song with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in a new arrangement by Victor Goines as part of A Swingin' Sesame Street Celebration.
