Ivan the Villager
Ivan the Villager is a male, humanoid Muppet who appears in Episode 13 of Statler & Waldorf: From the Balcony. Ivan states that he is a reformed villager & no longer joins lynch mobs of angry villagers who chase after monsters. He appears in a segment with Sweetums, advocating for Hollywood to stop the negative portrayal of monsters while proclaiming that a lot of the harm that monsters do actually have a beneficial side (aka The destruction of cities by large monsters can help real estate prices). He is accidentally injured by Sweetums at the end of the segment.
The segment is sponsored by the fictional group V.I.C.T.I.M., which stands for the Villagers Institute on Creature Treatment In Movies.
The Ivan puppet had previously appeared in The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, as the KJOZ cameraman.
