"Jack" is the name adopted by the Ancient who frequently assumes the form of Jack Crichton. He first appears in the season one Farscape episode "A Human Reaction."
John Crichton and the Moya crew first encounter Jack when he sticks them in a simulation to test how well humans would react if the Ancients were to cohabitate Earth. During this encounter, Jack embeds the secret to wormhole travel in Crichton's brain, though Jack erases Crichton's memory of this, and Crichton is unable to consciously access it.
Jack reappears in the season three "Infinite Possibilities" two-parter. The Ancients seek Crichton out, accusing him of sharing the wormhole data. Crichton and Jack travel to Dam-Ba-Da and find Furlow has successfully duplicated Crichton's Farscape 1 module (using un-related data Crichton traded in "Till the Blood Runs Clear"), complete with wormhole travel capabilities.
Furlow plans on selling the data to the Scarrans. When Jack and Crichton try to destroy the data and derail such a transaction, Furlow shoots and kills Jack.
