Jane Lynch (b. 1960) is an American actress and comedian best known for her roles in the films of Christopher Guest (Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, For Your Consideration) and for playing Sue Sylvester on the FOX musical comedy series Glee. Lynch and Elmo made the rounds on the red carpet of the 69th annual Peabody Awards in New York City on May 17, 2010.
According to a November 2010 post by Thewrap.com, Jane Lynch was to appear in the film The Muppets, as a prison guard. Lynch denied the rumour in a red-carpet interview with MaximoTV.com, but stated that she would enjoy working with the Muppets if offered. In 2014, she appeared in a promotional video for QVC about the manufactured feud between Miss Piggy and Joan Rivers.
Lynch went on to host Hollywood Game Night. Her other credits include guest spots on Arrested Development, The West Wing, Friends, Married... with Children, NewsRadio, Frasier, Dharma & Greg, Dawson's Creek, and Desperate Housewives, and voicing Sergeant Calhoun in Disney's Wreck-It Ralph.
