Jascha Lombardi is the conductor of the Jascha Lombardi Orchestra. Jascha and his group provide the music for Guy Smiley's "The Weather Show," as seen in the eponymous one-shot Sesame Street sketch.
The laconic, put-upon Jascha is referred to by Guy as "a million laughs." However, he suffers many indignities and privations as a result of the various kinds of weather showcased on the show. His flowing hair is revealed as a toupee when it's swept off by the wind.
His first name is a reference to Jascha Heifetz while the surname recalls famed bandleader Guy Lombardo.
