Javier Grillo-Marxuach is a television and comics writer (and sometimes producer) who was co-executive producer on the Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. He also scripted the episode "Time to Make... My Move" and was interviewed in the documentary The Crystal Calls: Making the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
His earliest collaboration with the Jim Henson Company was creating and scripting the unaired pilot Legacy, and the Creature Shop supplied a gorilla for the first episode of Grillo Marxuach's series The Middleman (based on his comic book series).
Often working on scifi or fantasy-tinged series, Grillo-Marxuach began his TV career in the nineties, writing for Seaquest DSV, Dark Skies, and The Pretender (also story editor). Apart from crime forays (a single episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and producing and writing on Boomtown), he remained busiest on genre shows including Charmed, Lost, Medium, Jake 2.0, The Chronicle, and The 100 (with some variety of producer credit on all of them).
In addition to his own The Middleman comics, Grillo-Marxuach has written the Marvel Comics miniseries Annihilation: Super-Skrull and Annihilation: Conquest - Wraith.
