Jayne Meadows (1919-2015) was an actress and the wife of television personality Steve Allen. She made a brief cameo, alongside Allen, arriving at the beginning of the 1979 special The Muppets Go Hollywood.

Meadows began her film career as a contract player for MGM in the 1940s, appearing over a five year span in Undercurrent, the Dr. Gillespie entry Dark Delusion, Song of the Thin Man, Lady in the Lake, David and Bethsheba, and others. She later played Billy Crystal's mother in the City Slickers movies.

On television, she was a frequent game show panelist, including regular appearances on To Tell the Truth and I've Got a Secret. She often appeared on Steve Allen's various series (including Meeting of Minds, playing Cleopatra and other historical ladies) and was a regular on Medical Center as Nurse Chambers for the first three season (1969-1972).
