Jean-Dodd van Clamme was featured in the movie trailer spoof "Enter the Chowder: Manhattan Style" in episode 205 of Muppets Tonight. He can make a string of pearls even though he's not an oyster.
He is a parody of action movie star Jean-Claude Van Damme.
The puppet later resurfaced in 2017 for a pre-taped sketch for The Muppets Take the Bowl. The head only was reworked as Chloe the Clam, one of Pepe the King Prawn's co-stars of "Keeping Up with the Crustaceans."
