Jens Jacob Tychsen (b. 1975) is a Danish voice actor who dubbed Kermit in Muppets Now and Elmo's World "Frogs," Baby Animal in Mini-Muppets (Muppets Babies), and other characters on Leg med os fra Sesamgade (Play with Me Sesame). He was the voice director on the latter and Elmo's Verden (Elmo's World).
As a child, Tychsen would spend a lot of time at his grandparents, because here no one would wonder why he would sit alone and play with dolls and talk to himself. He spent hours trying to imitate voices from various cartoons. One of his biggest childhood idols was Kermit, and when he played he imagined himself being Kermit, with Miss Piggy as the heroine and Animal the villain. Kermit also reminds him of another one of his idols, the actor Ove Sprogøe who was his biggest source of inspiration.[1]
He graduated from Århus theater school in 1998 and has since played at various theaters around Denmark. Some of his stage credits include Les Misérables, A Clockwork Orange, Hamlet, Jean de France, Erasmus Montanus and The Marriage of Figaro.
Some of his many voice acting credits include SpongeBob SquarePants in SpongeBob SquarePants, Simon in Alvin and the Chipmunks, Krusty and Lenny in The Simpsons Movie, adult Hercules in Hercules, Toy Story 2, Lazy Town and Finding Nemo.
In 2009, he was hired by the studio Dubberman as casting/voice director.
