Jerry Springer (as the "Beetle") with Kermit on The Masked Singer
Jerry Springer (1944-2023) was an American television personality, best known as the host of the talk show The Jerry Springer Show. The former mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio, Springer was a contestant on Season 3 of Dancing with the Stars.
For the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars, Springer made a guest appearance, where he was interviewed by Miss Piggy, and assured her that he doesn't eat pork.
In 2022, Springer competed on The Masked Singer as the "Beetle." Kermit the Frog joined Springer on stage during his performance of Frank Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight." In the same episode, Springer was eliminated from the competition. Miss Piggy's final guess for the identity of the "Beetle" was Night Court star John Larroquette.
Springer was also host of America's Got Talent for two seasons, replacing Regis Philbin. He has appeared as himself on Roseanne, The X-Files, The Simpsons, The Love Boat: The Next Wave, MADtv, Married... with Children and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
