Jess Adkins (1926-1988) was an actor who appeared on Sesame Street as Carl the trashman in Episode 0249 and 0250.
Adkins spent a stint on the soap opera The Doctors as Webb Sutherland in 1972 (returning later in other episodic roles) and had parts on Love of Life and The Secret Storm as well. Most of his career was spent as a drama teacher and stage performer/director, teaching at various times at Butler University in Indiana and the National Theater Institute in Connecticut.
