Jessica Carleton

Jessica Honor Carleton (b. 1983) is a writer, actress, puppeteer, puppet designer, storyteller, and make-up artist. She is best known for her work on the MeTV series Green Screen Adventures. Carleton has received four Daytime Emmy Awards, including winning "Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series" for her work on Green Screen Adventures in 2014 (she was nominated against Leslie Carrara-Rudolph, Joey Mazzarino and David Rudman; all for their work on Sesame Street).

Carleton presented the award for "Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program" at the 41st Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards alongside Leslie Carrara-Rudolph (with Abby Cadabby) and David Rudman (with Cookie Monster).

Carleton later became a Sesame Street writer, starting with Season 47. She also co-wrote The Magical Wand Chase television special with Ken Scarborough and Raye Lankford, and has written lyrics for songs for the show such as "The Dragon Dance". Her other writing credits include episodes of Arthur, Martha Speaks and Puppy Dog Pals.

She has a bachelor's degrees in "Performance and Creative Writing for the Media" from Northwestern University.
