Jim Tetlow served as the lighting co-director on the Sesame Street special Don't Eat the Pictures (with David M. Clark) and on the show itself for seasons 20 and 21 (both with Bill Berner), for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award and was nominated for another. Tetlow also won a Monitor Award for his lighting direction on the music video for "I'm Gonna Always Love You,"[1][2] and also served as lighting designer on several of the Play-Along Videos.
Having worked as a lighting designer/director for television and theatre since 1975, Tetlow's other lighting credits and projects include The Tonight Show, Search for Tomorrow, presidential debates, Miss America and Miss Universe pageants, Las Vegas shows, cruise ships, and television specials starring Rodney Dangerfield, Lou Reed, and Tim Allen. Like many of his fellow Sesame Street lighting directors, Tetlow worked for Imero Fiorentino Associates, Inc., which he did for the entirety of the 1980s.
Tetlow is the co-founder, president, and principal consultant of lighting design company Nautilus Entertainment Design.
