Joanna Lumley (b. 1946) is a comic actress known for playing Patsy Stone (opposite Jennifer Saunders as Edina) in Absolutely Fabulous. She supplied the voice of Tiger Lily in the 1999 Creature Shop TV version of Alice in Wonderland.
The ex-wife of sitcom creator Jeremy Lloyd (Are You Being Served?), Lumley's credits range from the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service to Purdey on The New Avengers, parts in such Hammer-style horror films as The Satanic Rites of Dracula, appearances in two Pink Panther films, and Mrs. Bantry in the Agatha Christie TV adaptation A Body in the Library. She is also the first woman to play the Doctor in Doctor Who on television, albeit for a made-for-charity spoof.
Miss Piggy and Janice spoofed Absolutely Fabulous in the 1997 calendar Muppet Parody Calendar: The Sequel, with Piggy in Saunders' role and Janice as Lumley's Patsy.
