One of her most notable appearances on the show was in a sketch where she sang the alphabet with Kermit. As the song progresses, she kept replacing certain letters with "Cookie Monster". The sketch has been used in a number of specials and clip shows as one of Sesame Street’s most memorable moments. Other sketches with Kermit involved her counting to 20, discussing body parts, and demonstrating up and down. She also appeared in the opening sequence during seasons seven and sixteen.
On the Street, she appeared playing "One of These Things" with Maria in Episode 0352, "Here Are Some Things" with Luis and Seth in Episode 0493, demonstrating "big Joe" and "little Joey" with Joe Namath (First: Episode 0505), playing "One of These Things" in Episode 0595, in Episode 0597 when Bob sings "Hi Friend", with Mr. Snuffleupagus reciting the alphabet (First: Episode 0671), playing in the arbor in Episode 0821, and building a b with Maria (First: Episode 0922).
According to Sesame Street Unpaved,
“Although she looked young, she was twice the age of the average viewer, so she knew the answer to most of the questions being asked on the show. One day, while taping a "One of These Things" sketch, Joey kept giving the correct answer before the song was over. The show's producers took her out of the scene, and decided to put in some children who didn't know all the answers.”
