

John Goodman (b. 1952) is an Emmy-award winning actor whose many credits include his best known TV role, Dan Conner on Roseanne. He was the guest star on episode 104 of Muppets Tonight in 1996. He previously appeared with Telly Monster in two season 25 Sesame Street sketches and played "Tough Guy Helpline" operator in the 1994 special Sesame Street All-Star 25th Birthday: Stars and Street Forever!
He portrayed Fred Flintstone in the 1994 film The Flintstones (with effects by Jim Henson's Creature Shop).
Goodman reprised Dan on the spin-off The Conners, played Eli Gemstone in The Righteous Gemstones, hosted Saturday Night Live 13 times, recurred on Community, and The West Wing, and guest starred on Soul Man and Moonlighting.
Feature film credits include The Babe (as Babe Ruth), Revenge of the Nerds, Barton Fink, The Borrowers (with Jim Broadbent), Blues Brothers 2000, The Big Lebowski (with Jeff Bridges), O Brother, Where Art Thou? (with George Clooney), Evan Almighty (with Steve Carell), The Hangover Part III, Arachnophobia (with Stuart Pankin), and 10 Cloverfield Lane.
Goodman's voice credits include playing Sulley in Pixar's Monsters Inc. and Monsters University, Pacha in The Emperor's New Groove, Baloo in The Jungle Book 2, Mr. Prendergast in ParaNorman, Rex in We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story, and Santa Claus in various projects (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie, in robot form on Futurama, and on SpongeBob SquarePants).
