John Malkovich (b. 1953) is a respected actor, producer, and director of stage and screen who played Humma Kavula in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Malkovich co-founded the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago in 1976, and in 1984, appeared on Broadway as Biff in the revival of Death of a Salesman (opposite Dustin Hoffman).
