The late John Thirtle (August 25, 1948 - June 5, 1995)[1] was a British puppeteer, who, along with Ian Allen, formed Playboard Puppets, creating such series as Button Moon, The Spooks of Bottle Bay, and numerous others. He served as an additional puppeteer on Dark Crystal, The Muppet Christmas Carol, and Muppet Treasure Island.
