Jonathan Larson

Jonathan Larson (1960-1996) was an American composer and playwright best known for his Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical Rent, which premiered on Broadway after the composer's death.

Larson contributed background melodies for two Sesame Street segments[1] before creating his own children's musical special Away We Go! and a musical PSA featuring Looney Tunes staple Sylvester.
