Judy Garland (1922-1969) was an actor and singer, best known for her many film musical roles at MGM including The Wizard of Oz, Meet Me in St. Louis, Summer Stock, The Harvey Girls, Easter Parade, For Me and My Gal, and others. Later, she lent her voice to a cat in the animated film Gay Purr-ee and hosted her own TV variety series. She is the mother of Liza Minnelli.
