The Muppet Show guest star
episode 101
Prowse01

Juliet Prowse (1936โ€“1996) was a dancer who came to international prominence with her film debut in Can-Can when Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev visited the set and called one of her dances "immoral." She was engaged for several weeks to her Can-Can co-star Frank Sinatra and also had a romantic relationship with Elvis Presley, whom she co-starred with in G.I. Blues.

Prowse was the first guest star to appear on The Muppet Show and was described by Kermit the Frog when he introduced her in episode 101 as "one of the truly great dancers of the world." As would be expected, she performed a dance number on the program ("Solace," with the Green Gazelles) but was notably one of the few Muppet Show guest stars who did not sing (although she did sing a few bars of "The Muppet Show Theme" in the unaired pilot). And while she was one of the few guest stars who did not appear in the closing act, she was also one of only two guest stars, the other being Connie Stevens, to receive a Muppet likeness of herself at the end of the show.
