Julius Thomas III is an actor and singer who appeared in the 2016 special Once Upon a Sesame Street Christmas. He was one of the street denizens in the 19th century story, and also sang part of "Holiday Lights" in the present day.
In 2023, Thomas appeared as a doctor in a Sesame Street in Communities video along with Rosita and her grandmother.
Thomas made his Broadway debut in the 2010 musical The Scottsboro Boys, as Roy and others. He understudied parts in the 2012 revival of Porgy and Bess (including the crab man) and was in the original Broadway cast of Motown the Musical (2013) in several ensemble roles (including Jermaine Jackson and songwriter Lamont Dozier). He reprised the roles when the show returned to Broadway in 2016, having been part of the national tour in the interim. Beginning in 2018, Thomas played the title role in Hamilton during its national tour.
