Köksal Engür (1947-2023) was a Turkish actor and voice artist who dubbed Bert on Susam Sokağı, the Turkish co-production of Sesame Street.
Engür frequently redubbed Turkish actors, often leading men, in film and TV from the 80s onward, including Eray Özbal on the drama series Duvardaki Kan and in the film Yoksul, Yaşar Alptekin in the romance Yaşar Alptekin, and character actor Kutay Köktürk several times. For American imports, he dubbed Gene Wilder in The Woman in Red and See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man and The Meyerowitz Stories, Peter Sellers in A Shot in the Dark and The Return of the Pink Panther, Mark Moses on Desperate Housewives, and speeches by Winston Churchill on The Pacific.
For cartoons, Engür dubbed the title role on Lucky Luke, Shifu in the Kung Fu Panda movies, and Russ Cargill in The Simpsons Movie. On-camera, he had recurring roles on several Turkish dramas and played the second lead in the 2012 comedy film Sen Kimsin?
