Karen Halliwell is a digital character technical director (or rigger) who worked for Jim Henson's Creature Shop during the 1990s and early 2000s on CGI characters and effects including facial rigs. Her contributions to more Muppet-based productions included work on Tizzy the Bee for The Animal Show, the mosquitos for Muppet Treasure Island, and the real-time virtual sets for The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss.
Halliwell is now a senior rigger for visual effects company Cinesite, having worked on feature films such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Spectre, and multiple Marvel films including two Avengers films, Ant-Man, Black Widow, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Halliwell also worked on Rango for Industrial Light & Magic.
