Kellywood

Kelly Wood (b. 1943) is an actress, working primarily in New York, who played the sad bride in a 1967 La Choy commercial.[1]

Wood began acting as a child in the 1950s (including an appearance on TV's You Are There). She appeared four times as one of Patty's friends on The Patty Duke Show and worked on and off-Broadway, including as a replacement for Chava in the original run of Fiddler on the Roof. She was part of the choral group backing Danny Kaye in his 1963 Broadway revue (with Señor Wences) and appeared in the 1972 non-musical The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window (with Hal Linden).

Most of Wood's career was spent on soap operas, starting with a four year stint as Lauri on Search for Tomorrow (1969-1973). After a brief stop on Another World (1974), she played Mary Ellison on As the World Turns from 1975 through 1980, and a few later guest returns as late as 1993. Off-camera, Wood co-wrote an episode of Fame.
