Kennyrampton

Kenny Rampton is a trumpeter who has played with the current Sesame Street band under Joe Fiedler, and with credit since season 43. An example of his solo work is the trumpet in the "Homelamb" theme.[1] He was also credited on the special Once Upon a Sesame Street Christmas and on the documentary Being Elmo (on the song "Puppet Man.") Rampton also played trumpet in A Swingin' Sesame Street Celebration: 50 Years & Counting, where he also prepared new arrangements of the "Sesame Street Theme" and "Elmo's Song."

A jazz musician, Rampton has played in concert and recordings with Wynton Marsalis. He has played trumpet for Broadway musicals including revivals of Finian's Rainbow and Anything Goes, as well as Dame Edna Everage's 2010 show All About Me. He released his first solo CD, Moon Over Babylon, in 2013.
