King Digitus is a Sesame Street story starring the Anything Muppets as read by Bob. (First: Episode 2057)
In the Kingdom of Addition, King Digitus presides over his subjects who all share a love of addition. They add everything they can, until the day finally comes when there are no more things in the kingdom they can add. King Digitus nearly shuts down the kingdom, when a young girl teaches everyone about subtraction.
They see this new method can be just as fun and decide to start subtracting instead. The subjects begin by subtracting chairs, namely the throne the king is sitting in. He and the throne are hurled from the throne room, and the king appears on the street, aching. Bob assures him that when things are subtracted, they don't need to be physically thrown away, a point the king makes clear to his subjects.
