In 1995, Kermit the Frog appeared in a commercial to promote the company's Black Friday sale, wishing everyone a "hoppy holiday." The thirty second TV spot featured footage of a Kermit plush wearing a plaid vest and a popcorn canister decorated with an image of the plush on the side.
