The Kraft Heinz Company is the successor to multiple American food processors, including Kraft, Heinz, and General Foods.
Post Foods, founded as the Postum Cereal Company, was spun off from Kraft in 2008.
Sponsorship/Advertising
- The Muppets appeared on Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall in 1965.
- A test pilot commercial was made for General Foods Canada products Wheels, Flutes and Crowns, in 1966. While the ads were never aired, they introduced the Wheel-Stealer (which became Cookie Monster), the Flute-Snatcher (used in various productions), and Crown-Grabber (which became Beautiful Day Monster).
- Jim Henson developed a special called The World of the Muppets, which he pitched to General Foods. The program was never produced.[1]
- In 1970, General Foods sponsored repeats of Sesame Street on 18 public television stations.[2]
- The original 1986 broadcast of The Christmas Toy was billed as Kraft Presents The Christmas Toy.
- Four collectible Muppet Babies jelly jars were released in 1989.
- Packaging for Kraft marshmallows featured the Muppet Babies characters, in 1990.
