Krispy Kreme is an American donut company and coffeehouse chain founded in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Internationally, the company has locations in multiple countries, including South Africa, Ireland, Scotland and Australia.

In 2018, South American locations featured four characters in limited edition donuts in celebration of Halloween. Cookie Monster, Elmo, Big Bird and Count von Count were released. The Count was a blueberry filled donut, while Elmo featured a berry filling. Cookie Monster and Big Bird were a traditional glazed donut with frosting and embellishments.

In 2019, Krispy Kreme released three donuts in celebration of Sesame Street's 50th anniversary in Japan. Cookie Monster is a donut topped with cream frosting and cookie bits, with a mini chocolate chip cookie, Big Bird features a pudding center beak and yellow sprinkles and Elmo has custard flavored frosting with a jelly center nose. The bakery also featured many Sesame Street characters on their packaging.
