Kumail Nanjiani (b. 1978) is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and podcast host who is a regular on the HBO series Silicon Valley. He starred in and co-wrote the 2017 film The Big Sick, sharing an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay with his wife.
Nanjani appeared with the Muppets in Seth Rogen's Hilarity for Charity on Netflix in 2018.
Nanjani's other credits include voicing Prismo on Adventure Time and appearances on Portlandia, Community, and the revival of The X-Files.
