Lapicito (Little Pencil) is an animated character on Plaza Sésamo that debuted in 1998. He was designed by Oscar González Loyo. Each of his segments begins with him singing his own little theme song. He proceeds to draw the letter of the day and then announces it to the viewer. On occasion, he'll draw either or both the uppercase and lowercase versions of a letter.
