Bil Keane, Oscar the Grouch, and Caroll Spinney
The Legacy for Children Award is presented annually by the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose for individuals who have made significant contributions toward the bettering of children's lives.
Caroll Spinney was presented the award in 2003. Spinney and Oscar the Grouch appeared at the following year's ceremony honoring The Family Circus creator Bil Keane.
In 2017, Sesame Street cast member Sonia Manzano received the award for her contributions to early childhood education.
